Default cam swap quick question

I have a 96 lt1 Camaro 6 speed currently has slp cai hooker shorty headers full Magnaflow catback exhaust and 4.10 rear gears. I'm planning on doing a cc503 cam swap electric water pump and I'm wondering if I should upgrade to a 52 mm throttle body? I believe I read somewhere that the stock intake manifold can support a 52 mm. I'm wondering if this true and is it worth wild in upgrading the tb. I do plan on eventually going with Lloyd's le2 package in near future a year or two. Any advice on that would be greatly appreciate it.

for just the cam swap only...you don't "need" a larger TB. When you do the "LE2 package" (assume heads and cam) than you can. I would have the stock TB bored to 52 vs buying a aftermarket one.

for just the 503 swap....I would invest in new springs before TB

My advice? Save up and do the LE2 package all at once, whats the point of running a CC503 only to pull it out a year later?

A throttle body upgrade is not particularly necessary with either the CC503 swap or the full LE2 package. Just stick a airfoil on the stock tb and run it.

^ What he said, I will add, save yourself some money and headaches by getting a STOCK TB bored out to 52mm, not an aftermarket one that give issues. Just paint it and put a fancy TB plate on it if you want it to look nice.
