Default Longtube headers install

Just bought some used hooker supercomp longtubes(No air no EGR). 95 z28

I know to install it i will need:

o2 extensions - Would i need the oval or square tips?
Gaskets & bolts - Could someone recommend me a set?
wrap - I have read they can be dangerous for DDing, but what about only wrapping certain parts of the header?

Anything else?

O2 extensions should be the flat ones.

Felpro 1406 for gaskets

Get arp 1inch long 3/8 thread with 5/16 12pt head.

I wouldn't worry about a wrap. Just make sure no wires are touching the headers. Use alot of zip ties.

While everythings out anyway you might as well do plugs and wires. Maybe even new 02 sensors.

You'll also need to either buy or make your own egr block off plates.

If I'm forgetting anything I'm sure someone else will chime in.

You might want to do motor mounts while you're there. It's a lot easier with the exhaust out of the way. My pacesetters would bang against my k-member with the stock 80k motor mounts that were in my car.

I'd wrap them, no matter how I moved my wires out of the way I burned them. I zip tied the **** out of everything and still somehow they found a way back to the headers. Not just plug wires either, I burned all kinds of wires and had a bunch off electrical shorts. Been great ever since the wrap. No problems and I drive it all the time.

If you do wrap it go with the DEI Titanium wrap. I just put some on my 4 wheeler exhaust that was burning my leg. Helped out a little. Use hose clamps instead of those stainless zip ties to secure it.

Either wrap the headers or look into OTVC wire sets. The later is the best way to prevent burnt plug wires. I think I went through 3 sets before switching to this type of wire. Motor mounts are a good idea as well. I cheaped out and didn't do it when I was there and I regret it ever since.

My 94 didn't need o2 extensions with pacesetter lt's....Pretty sure if you need extensions you'll only need one short one. I run the cheap Advance auto off the shelf header bolts/gaskets and they kinda suck. I recommend something better.
You can avoid buying wrap by just moving anything that is touching the headers or just too close for comfort. If it's a m6 the clutch line is right there in the mix.. I put some fuel line around where it touches the header.

Get aluminum header gaskets, keeps you from having to pull the headers any time you get an exhaust leak because the gaskets won't blow out.
