I'd put the 503 over the 305. I'd guess .1-.2 and 2mph.........

Not a huge difference, but I'd give the edge to the 503. If I bought a car with a 305 already in it I'd not go through the trouble to swap to the 503.

The 503 does have the edge but a swap doesn't seem that worthwhile. I would get something bigger, especially if it's a stalled auto.
