Default Ls1/ LT1 torque converter

I have a 95 lt1-4l60e ..... I'm wondering if a ls1-4l60e converter would work in my application. I've done the forum searches so please don't flame me-
From what I have read that the 95 & 96's are crossover years for the 60's and I'm hoping I can use a ls1 converter-
If its only possible with a adapter or spacer ill just find the right one ....
But thank you for any and all input!
Tom

The LS1 and LT1 crankshafts have different protruding lengths. My understanding is the LS1 and LT1 torque converters are different because the crankshaft on each engine will change the clearance from the torque converter housing to the crankshaft.

Also note that because of the crankshaft differences, the input shaft of the 4L60e's are different between the LT1 and LS1 versions. So the torque converters and transmissions are not directly interchangeable.

The exception being a C5 verter will work in an LT1 application.
