I am the only one who brought up Jeff Green and I did so to point out he did what I thought was 2 big bore aluminum LT1s a decade plus ago, and I didn't see anyone speculate as to who did or did not have a hand in this.

Trying to say you know something????

Not really, but I looked at website and many huge things stood out to me. 96capricemgr...you taught me a lot over the years...tell me what rim is that under that car cover. Can you see the handles under the cover (sedan). Then other pointers point to the specs...and reused parts on that motor

I'm guessing it's an Impala cause that rim looks like an ROH rim that I have on my hawk.

I doubt that pan would fit an F-body.

I hope they're not gonna use that oil "cooler".

Stupid money for something that would perform on par to a junkyard 5.3.

An Impala guy would make sense, seeing as how they are one of the few people crazy enough to spend that kind of money just keep it an "LT1" .

A dollar says he only makes it a 409? .

Nope.

The billet block allows for large bores. It has 4.125 bores to unshroud the heads and .450 longer sleeves for the larger stroke that’s planned. This motor has a 9.150 deck height, factory oil bosses, stock cam height, cam bore size, stock lifter bores and full water jackets.

434...and his last LT1 was pushing 1500hp. You can knock the LT1 all day but it still makes power

It was a joke guys .

I am even worse, spending tons of money on a boat anchor LT1 and still staying NA. I could have went boosted and made a LOT more power then I will with how much I have in my motor.

To each his own .

Seriously guys, if you're staying NA, the LS engine will make more power. The heads are that much better. It's not about the block. Having the ability to choose inexpensive and readily available blocks up to 440 CI helps also.

And you know there's FI 1,000+ HP LS powered cars out there.

Don't read this as me disrespecting the LT1 platform.

Cubic inch per cubic inch LSX's aren't exceeding LTX's by incredible #'s.

And you make it sound like it's such a simple swap. It's not. If you have an M6 it ain't bolting up to that LSX.

I never said it was easy-or hard. It is a bunch of work but the majority is in the wiring & K-frame swap.

It is indeed about the block. Not only the lack of cubes, but the lack of bore size which limits our cylinder head selection to tiny 23* pieces.

Give an LT1 the same exact cubes and a 4.1+ bore to run real heads and the difference will be virtually gone.

Not sure what 1,000hp LS has to do with it, there are LT1s that made that and more. Hell, there are NA SBCs making close to that now...power is cubes+heads, not any magical mystical LS juju.
