Exclamation Rattle behind the fuel tank on start up?

So I've noticed this problem thats been reoccurring for a few months now and I can't figure it out for the life of me. Upon startup, there is a rattling that sounds like its coming from the fuel tank area and it only rattles during startup and goes away after a minute or two. I can smell gas when I turn the car off. Only thing I can think of it being is the Evap system. Any advice helps.

Depending on the type of " rattle "........there are a few heat shields back there, maybe give them a look

Can't see anything visible rattling, and if it were a heat shield I dont think it would do it just on start up. It also isn't leaking any gas, so I doubt its anything major, its just really annoying and always kind of in the back of my head.

Ya, rattles can be hard and frustrating to track down, I guess what I would do is get it up on 4 jack stands, get the back up in the air and put the stands under the axles so the suspension is loaded like a normal start up and start it and crawl under there and push on heat shields, push and pull the exhaust at different angles, try and reach your hand up to places you can't see, listen and try narrow the rattle down to a certain location

Not a bad idea, I'll give it a try and see how it goes. Fingers crossed.

Checked that, and even took it out and it still does it.
