Whistle Noise
Hey guys,
I have a 97 ss and Ive had this noise that usually occurs on cold start but it started happening all the time now and it has grown louder. I thought it might be either alternator, power steering pump etc so i took off the belt and the noise still happens. It sounds like its coming from the driver side by the intake, does anyone have any experience with something like this? or any ideas wat i could try next? I posted a link to the video check it out and thanks for your help.

I'd say your tea is ready. Seems when you dropped the fuel lines at the end of the video the high pitch went away for a fraction of a second. There are vacuum lines on that side of the intake. Start digging around there to see if you can find any lines that are cracked or broken.

Sounds more metallic like a dry brg (squeal) on one of the accessories. Get the stethoscope out and see if its transmitted through the engine metal & brackets or body metal.

Sounds like vac leak
There are two small vacuum ports on that side of the engine and brake booster line. One goes to Opti, One goes to EGR. check those. also check the intake line for the opti that connects at the elbow on the intake pipes before the TB.
In with the fuel lines is a vapor line that get connected to a hard plastic pipe that runs under the TB over to the solenoids mounted on the passenger side of the intake and then runs to the TB on the passenger side. There are a lot of connections there that can leak
