Unhooking battery effect tune?
A friend of mine has a 94 formula with a batter cutoff switch on the back. Every pass he'll get out and cut off the power. Is that effecting the tune having the battery disconnected. Basically what I'm asking is when power is cut off does the car have to learn itself back out? Maybe pick up a little leaving the battery hooked up from pass to pass. My LS1 car won't idle if I unhook the battery and hook it back up for a few minutes. I was wondering if this is the same?

The computer has to relearn certain values but the tune doesn't change..

Unhooking the battery wont erase or do anything to the tune of the vehicle. What it will do is erase any stored codes and cause a relearn of the iac. hense why your car has a hard time maintaining Commanded idle for a few minutes.

The values were what I meant by tune. If say he left the battery hooked up the entire time hes at the track rather than when the car stops the battery power is unhooked is it possible it'll pick up a little et after a pass or two. Every pass he shuts off the power.
