I'd add a new timing chain just for cheap insurance. Maybe a new water pump depending on how old yours is.

Full Bolt On LT1s will get you into the 12s!!! May wanna read some stickies & do full bolt ons stall & gears!!! 3.73s with a A4 & like a 3600 stall After bolt ons you could spray a small 50 or 100 shot to shave more off 150 if ya want but get used to readin plugs before you get to crazy & make sure the fuel system keeps up to make it all safe!!!

That's pretty much all I do lol. -Thanks for the tips, I didn't think about spray but it's a DD so it just depends on how I feel after the new track times. I'm just building a list, nowhere near buying anything yet. Like you said I still need a stall, tranny cooler and gears before I can get started on the engine

You don't need injectors for that setup, so spend that $300 on tires or something else in the rear suspension like a torque arm or LCAs. Add eurathane motor mounts and trans mount in there too.

I would also change the oil pump drive gear to a melonized GM piece.

Exhaust? Are you just looking for parts for the cam install? Or what parts to get into the 12's

I'm just looking for parts to install a cam. Mid 12's is the overall goal for the car but if it ends up being quicker that's fine too. The car's probably only going to see the track maybe once or twice a month so that's why I chose mid 12's as a goal `

you will get minimal gains from gears but better drivability with the stall !

Cool thanks! Another thing i've been thinking about is how high should i go with the stall? I've read Edge and Circle D converters have good driveability with a 4000-4200 stall speed, but idk if I'll need a stall that high. I previously listed a Yank SS3600, should i go higher? It's for a CC503. anyone have first hand experience?

i have the yank ss3600 with the cc503. It seems to work good. I don't have any times though as there's no tracks near me.
