Default LT4 Camshaft??

A good friend of mine has several roller cams and one of them is a LT4. He pulled it from a 96 corvette when it was under warranty. I have looked everywhere but can not find out the stamped number

Here is a list of the ones we have found so far
1) 27936

2) 318

3) 28797

4) 155

5) 155 97R

All stock GEN II LTX cams have the number cast in just ahead of the first lobe. The LT4 would have a 242 cast there ahead of the first lobe even though the entire part number is 12551142. The other LT1 cams had 705, 779, 600 or 241.

U can still buy the 12551142 LT4 cam for a little over $200 (i just found out).

None of those numbers u provided would be LT1 or LT4 cams popeye.

Hope this helps.

The LT4 cam isn't much different than a stock LT1 cam. ref. http://www.grandsportregistry.com/lt1vslt4.htm

Nice piece of garage wall art or quality scrap iron, not worth much else.
