If the locks have never been changed, go to the dealer with proof of ownership and they will cut you new keys.

Okay, the drivers door was swapped out by previous owner cause it was dinged up pretty bad by someone in a minor bump up, however the passengers side is still the same. Does that count?

If when they changed the door, they should've swapped in the lock cylinder.

Did your door key also work the tailgate?

They didn't... But yes it works the passenger door, and the trunk. Just not the drivers side door...

OK, so when they installed the door they didn't bother to swap cylinders.

You can get a set of keys, ignition & doors from a GM dealership BUT it won't unlock the driver's door.

While you're there, you can have the dealership provide you with a door cylinder that'll match the vehicle keys. But you'll need to swap the door cylinders yourself.

Make sure you go there with ID and the vehicle's registration.

I'm fine without it unlocking the drivers door, as long as I can get in and start the damn thing I'm fine, how much does this cost? I'm low on cash due to the holidays. Plus I'll need a ride up there anyways!
