Default 95-02 Pontiac Firebird/trans Am Steering Wheel Radio Controls Buttons

My light for my radio controls on my steering wheel went out long ago & I'm trying to fix them. My car is a '96 Trans Am and I want to fix them; my question is how? Do the controls have to be replaced or is there an actual bulb that has to be replaced? How would you take them out too since they look so delicate! Any opinions are welcomed.

I'm not sure if you can replace the light or not. Maybe someone that replaces the lights in our hvacs or guage clusters with leds will chime in. When mine went out I got some from an 01 ta that was being parted out. It was a long time ago but I know they have the same wired connection but they don't mount into the wheel the same. I just trimmed the clips off the back and pushed them in. They fit snug and haven't budged in probably 10 yrs.
