LPP LT1 Headers and Y Please post up your reviews.
We have sold quite a few sets of our LT1 headers and Y since we have been back on LS1Tech but haven't seen anyone posting new threads about our headers We keep our prices low by using word of mouth instead of paying for advertising. We would appreciate it if the people that have bought our headers and Y would post on here about them
Thanks, Carl

I had the very first batch headers and installed them back around 2008 or so. Out of the box, man these are some absolutely beautiful headers. Very shiny stainless and outstanding welds.
Of course I encountered some fitment issues but to be fair, what LT1 headers have never had a fitment issue?
Driver side.
Number one primary tube hits the steering shaft. I ended up modding my steering to make it a bit longer. I also modded the mounting point for the column in the firewall so it would shift over a bit more. After these two mods, no more interference with the number one primary. If ony that primary were angled up a bit more during manufacturing, the issue would never occur. Some minor issues with the bolt holes in the flange which required a little filing.
Passenger side.
One of the primaries (maybe number eight) hit the unibody quite a bit. Only cure for this was BFH and pounding in the unibody a bit to provide clearance. Once everything was installed, this mod can not even be seen. Some minor issues with the bolt holes in the flange which required a little filing.
Y-pipe.
Would not fit at all. Ended up putting a relief cut (slot) in it so it would easily bend to properly fit, then welding up the cut. No chance of bending it without a relief cut. After that, no issue.
Performance.
Very very pleased with the performance of these headers overall even 7 years later. Given the nature of headers, I simply expect fitment issue of some kind. Hell I have heard of fitment issues on $1500 headers. It just takes some craftiness to get a really good install or Bubba with a BFH and some rednecking engineering to bash in the problematic primaries.
Would buy again but hopefully, the fitment issues have been addressed.

You have our version 1's. We are up to version 3 now.
Each run we have made minor adjustments to them to try and make them fit as well as possible. So far everyone that has bought our new version 3's hasn't reported any issues at all

I also had the version 1's when I had the lt1 in the car. I took off AS&M mid lengths. Some guys complained back then that the passenger side wouldn't fit, but it did without a BFH mod. also, I had the lpp ypipe that I connected to my borla setup. Did it all in my garage and fitment was perfect. I had no issues with scraping or anything like that.
Plug access was ok all the way around. My nit picks I wanted to use an extension/socket/ vs. a handheld wrench on some of bolts. I used ARP 1" star bolts if I recall. Also if you look at the pic, that might have been easy to accomplish if the #1 primary angled just a bit higher and a little more back to have a little better access to #5.
The car sounded absolutely awesome through this setup and the quality of these headers are absolutely great. In short, if I had a lt1 car, and I was buying headers, these would be my only choice.

They are made in the US.
Sorry you still have to use a short oil filter.
Unless you get an oil filter relocation kit. Then you can relocate the oil filter and you can run as long of an oil filter as you like or even run dual oil filters

I had purchased your last set of "prototype" headers and Y for this latest set. I have a Install thread at LTxtech HERE that I went very detailed with. The good and the bad as far as fitment.
Update from me now is that the headers still look Great. There isnt any rust forming on the primarys or collectors. Nothing has cracked, or loosened up. Ive been very satisfied with everything. And wouldnt hesitate to purchase another set if I had too.
The only thing I plan on doing is making a new Y pipe with a high flow merge like I had on my last setup. That however, is just me nit picking. A superb header all in all and Very well worth the money!
This also means ALOT TO ME! And am very Proud to be keeping Americans alive.

Installed mine, and installation went well. I have version 3 I believe.
My only beef with them is the y-pipe merge is kind of meh, and the clamps I got were trash. 1 of them broke while trying to tighten it down.
I run a PF454 anyway, and besides its so damn tight under our cars can you blame the no tall filter issue? The clearance is great and the quality of the headers is PURRRFECT. I love them and my car screams now. Currently they are slightly hitting my steering shaft and K member. Car is down for winter and I will have poly engine mounts in after the weather gets warmer. Will hopefully fix those issues...

I love mine. Headers have been on for many years (I'm guessing version 1). When we first installed them, I had Speed cut up the y-pipe and weld dual cats into it. Last summer I went to Kooks true duals and the system bolted right up to the LPP headers, no modifications.
Oil filter wise, I've been running the K&N HP-2002 for years, no issues.

Mine took 7 days from order until I got them. Pretty quick for being shipped from the East coast to the West coast.
Mine will be installed in June. I will post pictures and update then. I was hoping to read some more reviews to see how the latest batch is fitting for everyone. Doesnt look like anyone is posting much about them.
