Default Good spring kit to go with 1.7 Scorpion Rockers?

Hey everyone, looking for a good spring kit to support my 1.7 rockers that I just picked up. I have lt4 springs laying around but the clearance isn't big enough for me to comfortably run them. I found the Alex's Parts spring kit which looks like a good deal and will support the rockers with stock cam, but I haven't heard any experiences with them. Their kit runs about $150 with new seals and pushrods, which seems very fair but I'm unsure about the quality. For reference I will be running these with my stock cam, and will not be upgrading camshafts since I plan on racing street stock at the LTX shootout. Thanks!

I bought the springs you are talking abour from alexparts. I'm running then with comp promag 1.52 I got for free. I have not installed them yet but I did some research on them and several people said they worked fine. If your rockers are NSA make sure to get the guide plates and hardened pushrods. And new seals while your there

Yep already have the bigger 7/16" studs and guide plates for the rockers since they are NSA. The kit offers hardened pushrods for like $25, should I pick those or go with a name brand? Maybe even step up to chromoly? I don't know the gains for spending the extra $$ on those though. I think the kit also has an option for viton seals which I will pick up. Just have to wait for them to come back into stock i suppose

Which kit are you looking at from Alexs Parts? I was looking for springs the other day from them but they were discontinued from their site.

My set up consists of:
Scorpion 1026 rockers 1.7
Comp 26918 springs, 787 retainer, stock locks and spring seats
Trick flow 30400623-8 guide plates
Trick flow 7.2 x .080" chromoly push rods
ARP 134-7103 7/16 studs
Why buy hardened push rods when your car came with them, I'd go with the Trick flow chromoly.

I ran that exact kit on my camaro when I had my compcams 304 in it. When I pulled them I looked them over and they looked good still, no signs of valve float or anything... sold them for $25

I had the same problem when they sold out. Just check every day. I just got the hardened push rods from his site. I got the seals as well. Can't wait to put all my stuff on.

1.7s make cam selection harder later on when you get more serious.
Longer term 1.6s in a 7/16" stud with guideplates leaves more room to grow.

I ended up going with the trickflow chromoly pushrods since it was only a little bit more. I have those in hand now, just waiting for the spring kit

In the OP I state that I will not be swapping cams since I plan on running street stock @ the ltx shootout Shooting for bottom 12s with bolt ons.
