Default gremlins

im new here , And new to LT1's ,and could use some help of this 94 T.A lt1 Gremlins ;;;;replaced the distributor, cap wires plugs,coil and ign mod . but it shuts down and not start mayb 2 hours later . What I would like to know is where that dang Gremlin is ?

When it starts how long does it stay running?
Does it sound like its misfire or rough idle when its running?

it runs great and may run all no trouble .but it may shut down 5 minutes after start up . no miss but idle is low fuel press is around 46 -44 psi when it shuts down i have no spark at all .

It could be the ignition module. And you should shim it off the head to reduce the heat it builds up.

i replaced the mod but i did pull it off and take it to autozone to test it and it was hot as #$%^ so i will try to shim it ty

I'd look at the ICM as well. Sounds like its getting hot and failing. Also shbox.com has a lot of useful info

When against the head it needs thermal paste to aid heat transfer. IMO this is overlooked sometimes when they are removed and ends up causing trouble down the road.

Shimming it off the head is popular with the f-body crowd, I always just put fresh thermal paste on, bought some good stuff when building a PC years ago and just use that.

Right. Thermal paste works just fine. Tried and true when living in TX commuting in stop/go traffic in 90* temps. Never a problem with the ICM.
