Out of 5 attempts it started once and then set the ses light. I then turned it off and tried again for like 4 seconds and it didnt start so I scanned it and got code 36. Is this basically telling me my opti is toast? I changed the opti with a delphi one from ebay about a year ago

Clear the code (to make sure the code is current and not old) and try again. Even with a code 36, the engine should run. A 16 would shut it down. 36 would indicate an opti (or opti harness) related problem for high resolution signals.

The code appeared after it turned on that time. It didn't have any codes prior to that because I checked when I was uploading a tune to it about last week.
