So cruise control, egr, air, abs all deleted. Whats involved in removing the pigtails in the harness sense some of them go through the driver side firewall connection. I just put the motor back in and realized how many dangling pigtails there are. Ive done some searches but haven't found any good info on the topic.

The right way? Trace back each circuit and pull wires out of harness.

Semi right way? Depin each connector and hide the pins inside the harness.

Hacked, typical LT1 way? Snip em back and toss pigtails

Exactly what I wanted to do but my question is how do you remove it from that molded connection in the firewall.

Pull it out from the firewall, think its one 10mm, and then open up the plastic clamshell and start pulling the crummy sealer plastic apart. You may get lucky and be able to slide the wires in question through. Heat helps, but its a miserable job.
