Default 95 transfer am problems need help

I have a 95 trans am lt1 border 40 over with a 6 speed I can start it up just fine but you half to play with the gas peddle for a few min. before it will idle it wasn't like that until we put the heads on it so I was told the computer was bad so I changed it and had the new one flashed it does run better but still the same idling problem and if you try to drive it like that it spits and spotters around and popping though the intake for as few min. but once it clears up it good until you turn it off and start it back up does anyone have any idea as bout what might be going on?

PCMs rarely "go bad"....If I were wagering, sounds like optispark issue. Bad opti symptoms can come and go... Are the plugs and wires in good shape? Any codes? SES light?

It has new plugs and wires the only light that's on is the low coolant light but it's been on the we hole time and it's full of coolant so not sure why it's on

Probably a dirty coolant sensor....very common. Bad opti often does not throw a code...

"Optispark"

Yes, it would cause it to do all that.... mine was backfiring, white puffs of smoke coming from the engine when trying to start, no codes...read more:

http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/031...ing-modifying/

Symptoms:
* Car suddenly dies and won't restart
* Starts but immediately dies
* Extended cranking to start
* Rough idle
* Sputtering
* Backfiring

* Trouble reaching higher rpm
* Black smoke from exhaust
* Poor performance with car warmed up
* Weak plug wire spark
* Codes 16, 36, and 42 may be set

Was the car tuned for the mods? Adding displacement needs to be tuned for, as well as heads, you are adding more air and the PCM needs to know to compensate with the right amount of fuel.

The mods were already done so I'm not sure I got it with a blowed head gasket and messed up head so I just redone the heads, valves, push rods,rocker arms,lifters And new gaskets from the heads up with new bolts and all so something call banjo washers I got them also. transfer am was a typo
