Default Mcloud street twin clutch

Got the clutch installed just waiting on the proper m.c. hose to finish it all up. Any of you guys running this clutch? How do you like it?

Did yours come like that? You have to be careful of how it's shimmed. Otherwise I have the heavy fly wheel version and love it so far. It takes a little bit to get used to. But no complaints at all.

No mine came assembled. I had it apart when I installed the flywheel. I also rechecked the clearance with a feeler gauge once in and it was right in spec the way it shipped. I have the steel flywheel also. I just wanted the flywheel to be bullet proof.

How is your engagement? did you have to adjust the master cylinder?

It came with an adjustable mcloud m.c. they just sent me the wrong line for it. They sent the ls1 quick connect style. If I hand pump the slave I should be able to bench bleed it right? Thats what I did with the factory replacment a while back.

Good news. Im coming from a Ram single disk. Im putting down 431/473 and leaving lights is tough with a single disk, low compression, cam, and blower. It was really rough engagment.

Excellent clutch. Holds the power with good pedal feel and smooth engagement.

yes you can hand pump to bench bleed the MC. Then pump from slave once you connect line to slave. Easier to have someone up top watching for bubbles. The McLeod MC (Wilwood) is a nice unit. 13/16 bore

I have the same clutch. Should have done it from the beginning vs getting 3-4 single disc clutches

On first start slowly push in pedal to confirm your clutch fork does not buzz the PP when pedal is all the way down. You adjust the MC rod so that you have full disengagement when pedal is all the way down

I have the street twin with aluminum flywheel. I am just finishing up the break in. So far so good, pedal is good, engagement is getting better the more miles I put on it.

Thanks guys for the info. I wont get around to re attaching the trans till this weekend but I appreciate the tips on bleeding. Pretty excited to have a lower friction clutch. Got a set of 35 sidewall 555's for the front that come in today. Ive got 555r2 305-35-18 in back and with these 40's up front it looks goofy!

Is everyone elses pedal pretty short. I adjusted the rod properly for max pedal movement without hitting the pp. Nice and smooth but definatly shorter than stock. And the line to the slave they sent was 24", just barely long enough. Need to call and see if they sent the wrong one. Clutch felt good otherwise. I used to think i needed motor mounts but that was all the clutchs fault.

Mine was pretty much barely long enough too. I like that red mounting bracket, mine was black. I've got my pedal adjusted just below the brake and I love it.
