Help! Need T56 Clutch Fork
My TA has a damaged clutch fork and there are no distribution of these parts ANYWHERE if some one has one please sell it to me. It's on an LT1 Trans Am. James 303-746-7177

Try the dealer, mine told me he could get one, but that was a year ago. if not then take yours to a machine shop and see if they can weld it up and re machine the damaged area. good luck!

I swear I looked at that site earlier this morning, just before my last post in this thread, and it said the part was backordered.

It says they are on back order on thegearbox.org, all the places I spoke with said they didn't know when they could get one.
My fork is also worn in the pivot area, it makes a lout clicking sound when pushing the clutch in due to the fork and t-nut being worn. I'm not sure how long welding one up will last, the fork is cast and it is case hardened at the tip of the fork fingers and at the pivot area which is much harder than most welds, until the wear goes past the case depth and then you have soft steel. I checked the hardness at my shop and it's around 55RC, with the correct weld rod you could achieve that hardness but most guys and shops don't have those rods lying around these days.
My fork has around 120K miles on it and I didn't have a problem until last year, and I wanted to replace it while I had the trans out to install the new clutch. Not sure what I'm going to do yet.

That's messed up. When I last posted in this thread on 04/18, the site said they were in stock and even let me put one in my cart. They probably have site inventory issues.

That's nuts!! Just wondering if anyone has looked into any aftermarket options. I know there are various companies that sell 5 and 6 speed swap kits for about every motor and body style. What makes the F-body/LT1 so different?
