Thanks for the suggestion. I thought I called them a couple years ago and LT1s were too old for them. Am I thinking of the wrong place?

Hey Jason. I also posted on the eastern region forum and a guy there said I should reach out to you, thanks for responding. I have a mostly stock 97 Formula and I'm kinda at a cross roads trying to figure out what to do. Mostly I'm just looking for advice from someone that knows LT1 performance. If I decide to do any work, I was also hoping to find someone that might be interested in working on it.

The car is my usual daily driver all summer, and I store it every winter. I got it out a couple weeks ago, drove it ten miles and the clutch fell apart. I already had some work I needed to do- plugs, wires, AC compressor- nothing too major. I had the engine rebuilt a couple years back. Regret not doing more mods on it then. Basically just had it bored 30 over, a valve job, and a very close to stock cam. I would love to get a little more performance out of it but still keep it a very streetable driver. I'm just looking for any advice that can be offered.

I met a guy once that claimed there was a lot to be gained simply in some different heads, but I'm not sure if that's true and what to consider. I'd also love to get it truly tuned some time. It has a couple running issues that I believe could be worked out.

Anyway, if you'd be willing to talk some time, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not sure if you ever do work for anyone, or know anyone around here who does, but like I said I'd also be interested buying somebody's time. Thanks.

The guys at New Era are great guys, and Mike is a personal friend of mine. I can understand why they don't do work on LT1 cars from a business perspective though. On the few occasions when they did do the work on LT1 cars, Mike asked me to come into the shop and do it for them.

I'm glad to help anyone local out with LT1 stuff. The LT1 will always be one of my favorite platforms
