Intake vs Exhaust Pushrod Length
So I have been using a Proform pushrod length checker along with an adjustable pushrod to measure my pushrod length for my H/C swap.
I checked cylinders #1 and #6 and have been getting 7.100" for the intake and 7.070" for the exhaust.
I checked both cylinders multiple times. I checked #1 with the cam dot at 12:00 and #6 with the dot at 6:00. I also checked #1 and # 6 intakes when the exhaust valve begins to open. The intake seem fairly consistent at 7.100".
Two questions:
1. Is is common to get a different pushrod measurement between intake and exhaust valves?
2. Should I go with 7.100" for all 16 or try to find some 7.050" one for the exhaust?
Thanks for any input!
