Default LT1 head Bolts

LT1 head bolts are the same as SBC correct?

When they are not torque-to-yield, yes. They went TTY sometime in the 95 model year. Those cannot be reused. They also must have washers if used on aluminum heads.

So when ordering head bolts.. do I just need SBC head bolts with washers then?

I have found several places that have the part listed for the head gaskets, but no of them actually have the gaskets.
Should i just go with Mr. Gasket 5716?

That GM number is no longer available. You can do Cometic, or Felpro, etc.

Another alternative is the Victor Reinz 5898 gasket. Its .026 thick and doesnt have the delamination problem that some people reported with the Mr gasket one. There was a issue with how it was wrapped in the plastic wrapper.

Cool! So I can pick those up at auto zone!
But it keeps saying those are only for iron head motors.. ignore that?

^^^Yes ignore the iron head only note. Those .026 Impala gaskets will work with aluminum heads too.

Yeah autozone has them. They will work just fine for aluminum heads.

Iirc those gaskets are a bit thinner Givin you a Lil bump in compression

Anyone sure if the arp 3601's are a full set for both heads? or just one head?
