94 lt1 low oil pressure and tapping noise
#2
Does this happen while slowing down or on the brakes by any chance? If so, could be low on oil or your pick up tube fell off the pump.
Motor could be going out too but I'd start by double checking the oil level first. If oil level is ok then I would drain the oil pan then grab a small dead blow hammer and tap on the bottom of the pan and if you hear something bouncing around then its the pick up that fell off.

It happens when I hit the gas oil pressure goes up and tapping noise gets louder then when I let off my pressure goes down and the tapping stops

Oil pressure is going to fluctuate with RPM. Just because it goes down, does not mean you are "losing oil pressure". Maybe you should clarify the pressure readings. Tapping on acceleration might be an exhaust leak.

If you put it in a higher gear and give it throttle, does it get louder? Like 5th gear at 30mph, give it alot of throttle, if it gets louder, thats an exhaust leak. If it stays the same, could be valvetrain.
Oil pressure should be 40ish running down the road, and rise with RPM near 60, and warm at idle can be as low as 5-10psi, thats normalish.
