Default LT1 going 24x swapped guys pleas step in

Hey guys finally had a gut full of the old lt1 pcm and am going 24x. First off I know it will run just fine without it but I want to use an msd box with the swap as I have a powerglide with a transbrake and 1 stage of nitrous and could benefit from the two step and step retards of the msd 6ls. Has anyone seen this setup done? or know if it will in fact work?

Personally I have not seen it done, but I dont see why it wouldnt. As long as you know what you are doing and have it setup properly it should work. My question is how many LS setups have you seen with this setup? Probably more than a few, so it should work.....

Nothing made from single coil MSD wise will transfer, so sell it.

www.msdignition.com%2FProducts%2F...)_Engines.aspx this is what I want to run guys the reason I was asking is because I know to do 24x you have to rewire the coils for lt1 firing order and since the msd once installed controls the coils I didnt know if that would revert the firing order to ls

24x = COP, you know that right?

my bad iam at work must have used the wrong link. iam talking about the msd 6ls box for 24x ls motors carb or efi compatible

That would work for spark, still need a PCM for fuel. Have you looked into microsquirt stuff? If you just need it for spark control they have some pretty decent pricing for basic layout stuff.

You are, but I am saying you are gonna have a awesome PCM (the LS1 one) used to fire injectors and thats it. Its overkill and you could spend less to cover what you need.

That board can be had cheap and it will easily run just fueling.

I see. the ls pcm has me sold because its easily adapted to the lt1 harness and its awesome fetures for better driveability. not really worried about expense I bought a 411pcm for 85$ coils plug wires and 24x converted harness and a cam sensor for the lt1 timing cover for 200$. so all I need is a reluctor set and a copy of hptuners and if I ever get an answer a msd 6ls box lol
