Default Project-Fastest Heads/Cam/6 speed BUILD THREAD. + FAST XFI/E85/N2O

Car is a bright teal 1996 Camaro SLP SS #1371.
This is a stock bottom end, clean, low mile engine to start with. Highest oil pressure I've seen on a stock short block.
Engine specs:
•LE2 heads/intake. Milled down, cnc'd, stainless valves
•Thunderchicken's old Comp custom grind cam out of the 10 sec 396
•Complimenting Comp Valvetrain parts. Springs, pushrods, guide plates, studs, 1.6 NSA Pro Mags
•ARP Head Bolts
•Mr Gasket .027" head gaskets
•Meziere electric pump
•58mm BBK
•SLP twin tube CAI (also have factory ram air intake) May eventually get something custom. I refuse to cut up anything though.
•Fast Toys ported MAF ends
•1LE elbow
•Currently on 30LB ford red tops, that's getting swapped for some much bigger once it's tuned on E85)
•Currently running one 340 lph pump, plan on installing a second 340 pump with a Hobbs switch to accommodate the E85/N20.
•Currently on a PCMforless mail order tune, which will be useless since I'm going FAST xfi 2.0
•Delco opti unit with MSD cap/rotor, wires, and coil
•OBX stepped 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" stainless headers/ 3.5" collector (identical to Kooks. Same 02 bung locations and all.)
• ?? Undecided on final exhaust setup. Planned on doing a 3.5" to 3" reducer off the collector, merge the y pipe into a Flowmaster merge pipe with either a 3.5 or 4" outlet, into a 3.5 or 4" DMH electric cutout. Then back to the factory 2OTL out back
•AC deleted & alternator relocated
•Powdercoated Intake, valve covers, water pump.
•Engine bay was cleaned, prepped and sprayed as well with factory teal base/clear.

This was right before tearing it down

Coming apart

Car was bone stock other than some 1.6 roller tip rockers . Suprised to find those

Everything back in place after paint, and installing the LE heads

Had to stick my fresh powdercoated valve covers on it to get a glimpse of how it looked

Yes, the car is the next thing to be painted. Waiting until I have everything else done first. Getting a show quality job done to it.

Car finally running atleast. Still need to get everything in order. But that will all come once I get the XFI on it ignore ls1 tail lights. They aren't in there any longer.

No Slp CAI in these pics yet, but it's powdercoated to match the valve covers. Also ignore the alternator bracket in the pics. It's not there any longer.

Next thing to get ditched is that ugly factory fuel line. Going to run two braided lines behind the brake booster to the rails

Now I have a car load of parts that need to get installed. I already have the full FAST XFI 2.0 kit in my possession. Also got the accel 300+ box & coil along with it. Thanks to dealing with a great guy ( fastbird93 ) <<<His car was a 93, and mine is a 96. Brian @ fast track performance built the FAST harness to hook up to his 93 model. So I will need to get in touch with him to see what will need to be changed to make it hook up to my obdII setup.
Who will I get to tune this car? No other than Tyree Smith @ TY TECH performance. He pretty much built the fastest LT1 out there in Stefan Destito's procharged LTx. So I don't mind letting him work on mine! Plus he isn't too far from ne

Accel 300+

FAST XFI 2.0

The other parts that came in: my full Front end. Midwest Chassis k member, BMR upper/lower A arms, QA1 stocker star coil overs. All of this is off of OutlawZ 's badass car. Another great seller.

You can see his old car in the background

Arrived to me

PARTS NOT PICTURED YET, But I will get some since I already bought them:
UMI body mounted adjustable torque arm, rod end rear control arms & Panhard bar.

I plan on buying a 3" narrowed 8.8 rear end from TNT fabrication, weld RTS low pad wheels & 295 M/T drag radials, poly motor mounts, anti roll bar, & subframe connectors soon.

More updated photos showing the underhood. AC relocation bracket & alternator in place now, retains my power steering as well. And SLP cai is on.

I still have it, it's put up for now. I dodnt know which setup would flow the best? I still have anything that's genuine to it being an Slp car. I like your SS as well. The only other teal one that I know of on the site

The spolier is the OEM SS spoiler. It's not a fake? All the body parts are original SS Parts. Still has the door stickers & radiator support sticker. And console badge. And 2otl. All arts are there

Oh, in the picture of the rear of the car it looked like a Z28 spoiler. I guess there isn't many good pictures of the car to tell for sure. My goof.

I still have the ss ram air box. I only pulled it for the time being because I wasn't sure if it would flow as good as the current one. What do to think? And I really like your SS as well. Only other teal one that I know of on this site

I don't have many good pics of the exterior because it isn't painted, and the way I want it just yet. Car had a lot of fading so it was due for paint. That was my other black 96 SS as that I sold parked beside it

Black one is currently for sale on craigslist.....although your car is every bit as nice as an SS you could add another
