Exactly, LPP is your best bet for high quality stainless headers that will last and not break the bank. Yes they will add HP as the stock exhaust system is restrictive. Headers are never a waste of money unless you buy cheap ones that will rust out in no time. Go with the LPPs and don't look back.

Won't be the best but all the more reason to opt for a stainless header since you don't have to worry about scrapping off coating and exposing bare steel if you bottom out. Stick with a standard over the axle catback to help with ground clearance, forget duals if that's a concern.

I know not as many know if these, but me & many others have also had great luck with the OBX stainless headers. Great quality headers that are stepped 1 7/8" headers, collector merge spike, 3.5" outlet. Basically the best flowing setup that you can get on off the shelf headers. They are completely based off of the Kooks headers, but half the price. Fit is great.

Do yourself a favor and spend a little more and buy stainless headers. All Pacesetters will rust with time (I have the coated ones and never drive in winter and they still rusted). Do it once and do it right. Check out Texas Speed and LPP

My 99 Firehawk has long tubes and it already drags the y-pipe on speed bumps if not hit at just the right angle and it's stock ride height....I would like to lower it but it's out of the question due to the long tubes.
I went with the pacesetter coated mid-tubes on my LT1 since it's lowered 1.5" already and I don't need any worse ground clearance than already. The mid tube collectors are tucked up tighter underneath the car and don't affect ground clearance significantly. Something to keep in mind before you buy long tubes then complain of clearance issues.

I think I might be fine with ground clearance I will just practice and learn and probably get lpp but how hard is the instalment and will there have to be any other modifications enable to get them to fit right
