Default 97 camaro instrument panel plug

i'm in the process of putting an 98-02 dash in a 94 camaro and I have picked up a 97 camaro instrument panel. Where would be the best place t pick up the connector that goes in the back of it. I have read that 94-97 connectors will also work

I picked mine up from the dealer for around $5 if I remember correctly. The part number is floating around out there in the dash swap threads.

I'll keep looking on this forum then... I've seen a few dash swap threads but haven't seen the part number listed

Try and find a 94-97 Trans Am and cut the pig tail off, be sure to cut as much wire as possible so you can have something to splice on to.. Then take it home and cut your pig tail off and splice in the new one by color matching the wires.. Start your car up and enjoy your new cluster..

I'm not 100% sure if you can re pin it.. I think the metal clips are bigger than the newer style and won't fit..

I don't think you can re pin it at all.. You gotta splice it or solder it in.. But let me know what happens when you get to that stage.. It's been awhile lol

I simply repinned mine. No reason whatsoever to cut and solder.

We tried to repin but it did not work. My brother used a 95 Firebird V6 pigtail if I remember. Any 94-02 Firebird or any 97-02 Camaro. We used one from the junkyard with the cut and solder method.
