Default 93 LT1 Trans Am. Safe mode!!!!!

Does a 93 Pontiac Trans Am have a safe mode? I have a problem with my car. The computer cuts the fuel to my motor. Engine light comes on fans go full blast and I can't rev past 3000 rpms what's going on?

Yes, there is a "limp mode"....you need to get it scanned for codes. Could be triggered from any number of codes from sensors from the engine/trans.

If I remember right the if the MAF drops out it goes into Limp home mode.
Did the 93 have MAF or were they just speed density? My memory gets foggy.

If no MAF check the MAP sensor or the hose connecting it to the intake.

Do you have an auto? A big converter or a slipping transmission can cause it.. I think a bad TPS or VSS can cause it too..
