Default Msd hvc-l

Has anyone ever tried running an msd hvc-l series ignition box and hvc coil? I know it is a strong ignition, but I did not know if there is a good way to wire it in. I got a brand new setup on trade for my old stock 2 series rear end and I know the box itself is almost 500 so I took the deal. If I can use it to upgrade my ignition I would like to try. It also came with mounts plate and wire harness. Thx for any info.

The optispark cap uses conductive ink for the electrical pathways and it doesn't handle higher than stock coil voltages very well. It may cause more problems than its worth.

If I were to switch to a crank trigger and an msd crab distributor for the victor efi intake I have though?? I would assume going that route would allow it, just not while the opti lives 😥

Also, you said the opti cap uses the conductive ink but what about an msd opti. The msd opti I thought used different pathways and billet pieces, or is that the same way?

It always seems when anyone runs an ignition box that the opti always fails earlier. whats your full build specs?

Correlation does not imply causation.

Never run that MSD Ignition... but I did run the Digital 6 Plus... and that thing was awesome, throttle response was strong and instantaneous.
