http://www.ebay.com/itm/94-97-CHEVY-CAMARO-Z28-FORMULA-TRANS-AM-5-7L-LT1-V8-FULL-COLD-AIR-INTAKE-Red-3-/361026287590?hash=item540ed7f7e6&vxp=mtr
The elbow makes me want to vomit. It looks smaller than the throttle body, and smaller than stock. I thought the point of going aftermarket was... bigger is better

The coupler looks twisted and pissed off and it just wants to die.

You gotta get the one with the bright blue silicone couplers. Adds at least 15hp per coupler. Don't forget your electric turbo as well...

You should note the fine print - made with Grade-A bamboo in the same factory with baby food and MT82's.

It worked fine, it just was wobbly because it has no mounting anywhere, it just kinda hangs there.

Bonus points if air filter is on top of an exhaust manifold

Those people.... lol. Plenty of those at my old high school. Heck, the worst people there were the rednecks in there huge lifted, never be able to see the paint again because there's so much mud baked on from the sun, straight pipe and or open manifold Chevrolet trucks with nothing more than a TPI 305 those guys would get so mad if you told them that it was worthless to have a Ebay special CAI and open manis.

High quality alloy like ya know, the intake manifold and we all know that could never heat soak cause its full of dense cold air, right?

Oh wait.

it never gets heat soaked cause its pulling so much cold air so fast, it air cools the tubing quicker than the motor can heat it up thus making the air colder in turn creating more horsepower...and dont forget about when it rains, it turns into liquid cooled tubing...

I believe that is called direct evaporative cooling. I prefer indirect evap as I have an SLA agreement with the hampsters turning the wheels in my engine to keep humidity within ashrae recommended standards.

I ran one of these. After my rebuild I still had it. I then went to a K&N with my home made elbow. I dyno'd both and gained 10 rwhp basically across the board with the K&N set up, but peak stayed the same. So up to about 6100 rpms I gained 10rwhp throughout, but after that power was the same. But I think that flat line at peak was due to my slipping clutch...... One day I'll get it dyno'd with my current clutch.

compared to the MAF:

MAF measures 3.5", the intake tube measures just over 2.75"
