Default stock part # for wires

Looking for the stock ac delco wires for a 96 camaro z28? Going with mac headers will they still work okay or do I have to get otvc wires? Trying to stick with oem. I just got an original ignition coil too. Then I need to find an original cap n rotor to tune the old opti up with. Thanks for any advice.

Rock Auto will list probably 10 different Mfg. for stock replacement wires incl. ACDelco. IMO stay away from Delphi wires, I had a set fall apart from the radiant heat of my headers. The ACDelco's I installed after have been fine for 3yrs now. P/N 718G (GM 12096439)

Thanks guys. Will the stock wires be okay with a 425fwhp build? Any cap and rotor part number?

Stock wires are fine, IMHO. If I were doing a cap and rotor only, I would get the MSD.

Will stock wires with stock mounting locations have a better chance of burning up on headers than otvc wires?

That could depend on pipe routing. It's hard to say for sure.
