Default Lt1 700r4 kickdown cable

I got a 96 cadillac lt1 80,000 with a bad transmission"no reverse" from a friend and looking to put it in my nova. I have a 700r4 from a 92 c1500 pickup already in the car. Im having a hard time finding the bracket to use a stock style camaro kickdown cable. I seen theres a few on ebay and other site but want something stock. Everywhere i see them its only $5 but not in stock

16 years ago I put a 96' LT1 crate engine in my 92 C1500 and used all the truck brackets with the factory 700R4. Just use the truck parts and be done. There are a gazillion of em in the salvage yards.

You need parts from a 93' Camaro, or 92' 93' Corvette

Those are going to be very hard to find, have you thought about maybe checking out LOKAR, they might have a high dollar aftermarket setup.

I already bought a stock cable thinking the bracket wouldnt be that hard find.

I dont like that the aftermarket setups you need aftermarket cables to work with it.

I thought about just saying screw the fuel injection and just go carb. but that isnt cheap have to buy intake, carb, timming tab/ dizzy block off plate, new hei, and harmonic balancer.

Well look at it like this, a pair of Nikes would run you about $65.. I'd just get it.. You gotta pay to play sometimes...

With auto trans. I'd start with the local salvage yards. You'll need the throttle body also.

Its sounding like trying my first tranny rebuild would be cheaper. the transmission was rebuilt, because of slipping. After it was rebuilt it lost reverse. Im thinking planetary gear broke. Ive found kits for around $120-$200
