Default Lt1 car that is shade proof. (I do not own this car)

I think that some of us being Ls fans, sometimes get the big head and forget out roots. Seen this 3rd Gen this weekend at beech bend, and didn't really think anything of it....till he made a pass. I was standing around half track as he launched, which btw was one of the laziness launches I've seen. The car was moving pretty good, but 8th mile on....the car was on another planet. I didn't even look real, the way it was accelerating. Anyway, it went 8.50 @170.....with a 1.9 60ft. After he got back to the pits, it was mandatory that I check this car out. FULL interior...heat and Ac, complete with power steering. In other words totally streetable. It was funny because he thought the car was "underperforming" because it was "only "trapping 140 in the 8th....and there I was praying for 140 in the 1/4. Anyways, here ya go. Lt1 still representing!

I was Lt1, till recently. Was getting harder and harder to justify not jumping out the window with the ls. But this Lt1 car made me...and everyone else say a collective "Woah did you see that??!" Forgot to say this, but the car also has full exhaust ran out the back. None of that through the hood...out the fender stuff. I hope to see this car again this season. Don't know what it was making..power wise. But it's safe to say he was deep into 4 digit power.

That's the Tytech car. They built Stefan Destito's Firebird too which is probably one of the nastiest LT1s in existence.

Never heard of tytech before. So I went to their fb page and seen the camaros dyno sheet. It makes 1235/1275rw. Also went 1.0 60ft....and a 4.48 @156 8th. I was gone by this time, but I read that he threw down a 179mph pass....and all of the people that were supposed to be in his class loaded up. Didn't want none of his action in the dig....or roll event. But truthfully, I wasn't impressed with the firebird. Yea, it's fast....but it's just a typical racecar loud...stripped down and lots of drama.

That's amazing to see a stock gm block lt1 making 1200 to the tires. I wonder if it's got enough water jacket left to actually drive on the street or if it's filled.

I was so in awe, that I didn't ask. But seeing that it still has all the creature comforts, A/C, Heat, and powersteering, along with full interior....I seriously doubt that it's filled.

Not sure how many cubes it's packing, but I did see that it still has a factory intske. No crazy trick pieces, no flash. The extent of flash, amounted to some nice valve covers. And filled means block filler...to reinforce the block so that it can withstand the STOOOPID amount of power a motor may make.

Filling the coolant passages of the block with basically cement. Its called block fill. Half fill is up to the freeze out plugs.

I watched this car run last year at the ltx shootout. He didn't make a complete pass that I seen that day, but even if he shut it down at the 300' mark it still would make you smile.

I'm lookin up Tytech. Maybe I'l stay LT if I can get a killer PCM and chassis tuner like ttem in one. My cars got all weight reduction except the comforts like those guys. My ac will stay forever, an they seem like the people to put on a big single..

It made that on a 2nd gear pull. The LT1 makes about 2k flywheel. It's not filled. Tyree just knows exactly what he's doing. That's likely the baddest actual street driven car on the planet. It's been 4.99 in the 1/8 and it's not turned up yet. He said he's going to lean on it this season.
