I bought an LT1 to swap into a 240SX some time back. But I decided to go LS1 instead, and now have an LT1 to sell. I need to put a stock oil pan back on the motor, but I threw mine out back when I put a custom front sump swap pan on the motor. Do I specifically need an LT1 oil pan? Or can I use a Gen I SBC oil pan from, say, a truck engine?

I don't think a traditional pan will clear a stock k-member.

I used the dorman sbc pan on mine, long as it has dipstick provision on passenger side
