x2, went exactly as I thought it would.

OP, once you do that cam and converter swap you will have no problem pulling that Goat up top. Thanks for sharing the outcome.

I didn't think the Goat would catch up and come around you by 70. Expected maybe at 90+, since they are a wash in the 1/4 with a stock LT1.

Spun pretty hard out of first gear, those 275 nt 555's just don't cut it. It was good race though!

My guess is the gto isnt bone stock. I see them run high 13s-14.0's. Full exhaust, cai, tune lt1 should be a low mid 13 sec car pretty easily. Either your car needs tuned or that goat had some hidden mods done to it.

Well guys, I was out raising hell and ended up running up on the Mustang. For starters I had two friends in my car. Raced him from a 60 roll, let him take the hit. He jumped out ahead and we caught him and pulled him hard to 120. But like I said, 300 lbs of passengers plus me and we still gapped him pretty hard.

Why from a 60 roll? That sounds like an awful start to a roll race for something not making big power.

I have a mild built LT1 in 65 chevelle wagon, and my car pulls hard to 100, but I get yanked by LS's after that typically. So I always wanna start low 20-40 and get as far out as I can early.
