This is true.. So AFR went back to the drawing bored somewhere in the mid 2000's for a clean slate and came up with the Eliminator series of heads to eliminate the competition lol...

It's funny you say this. Because the guy that owns this car said that the track officials asked him to dial it back some during the competition which I guess is why he kept standing up on the brakes at the 1000ft after that first hot pass. I don't know their reason for telling him this, but I suspect it was to make the other guys think they might have some sort of a chance. The competition was eliminated before the event even began

They didn't tell THEM to back it down some. They told HIM to cool out a bit. With the exception being the exhibition pass, as the competition was over then. I don't know the exact reasoning involved though.

Sorry the last THEM in that post should have been HIM. Sorry for the typo.
I just did not hear that from the track officials is all I was saying.
Car is fast for sure and is even more amazing considering it isn't stripped down to the minimum. I definitely enjoyed watching him put on a show and look forward to seeing him at future Shootouts.

I did not stick around after. I had to get back to the hotel, get some food, and get ready for the Shootout awards ceremony. I would have liked to get a few more runs in at a T&T after the event but no time.
Is the red car you speak of an LT1 swap?

I'm not sure what it's powered by. Might be Ls. I've seen the car before, but it didn't make a complete pass. But it's one of those cars that you can just tell, if it could ever get good prep and traction....it would be a force to be dealt with. And for the life of me, I can't remember seeing an 85 camaro that day. Your sig is up to date right?

10.26 is movin out nicely. Out of all the cars, that had to be one of the fastest times. Most of what I seen....at least NA was about a second slower than you. Congrats on the W though!
