Walbro gss340 after Delphi & A/C Delco... Only fires up gas pedal on floor???
Ok Im lost after takin My S10 to pick up My daughter last week the truck just shut down... I pulled the cap off the shrader valve & barely any fuel... Soo Im like **** on another Chinese fuel pump by Delphi or A/C Delco soo I ordered a Walbro GSS 340 after talkin with a few Well Respected LT1 Gurus & Now itll Only Fire Up when in Flood Clear mode!!! Revs good but once you let off the gas it Dies!!! I did check the TPS voltage & it was at .73 & remembering that was prolly high I found most stock LT1s to be .63 so I put that back to where it should be Even though its Always Idled at Lower RPMs until its warmed up... Any Help is appreciated & no I dont have a scanner I need a windows 95 laptop to use the stuff Ive gathered but I need this S10 runnin again as its My Daily!!!
A frontal pic lol I did a link to the build some time ago...
Thanks in Advance!!!

I do have a Hardwire kit comin in the next day or 2 but I dont think thats the issue of not starting ... Just wanna try to eliminate anymore fuel pump issues every 6 to 8 mos or less!!! Really hope its not another Opti issue LoL After a few searches since last night it says IAC maybe... Plugs are NGK Platinum , wires are 10mm Taylors with boots to protect em from the headers... Less than 15k on the whole build... Just tryin to include anything that might help!!! I do have a set of NGK TR5 plugs if need be...

OK I dug up an old IAC that tested within spec so I guess I will put it on & see... IF that aint it I guess itll be the Opti
Anyone know of an Ohm test for the Opti Sensor to tell if its Good or Bad???

You are kinda bouncing all over the place with guesses. Slow down and do some diagnostic work on it. Get a fuel pressure gauge and make sure the fuel pressure is in spec. You may not even need that pump you ordered.
Have a look at this for some opti checks and info. To check out the opti you really need to scope it(low and high res signals, along with secondary ignition waveform checks). A good DMM(fluke 85/87 or another good high speed brand) can tell you some info(again, better to look at it with an oscilloscope) about the low and high res signals....however, basic low cost DMM's will at least allow you to test some of the system components and do some voltage checks.

Ok After lettin the Optima Red Top charge all night I got in the truck & BAM it fired right up Guess the TPS bein at .73 vs .63 was enough to make the other IAC stick at full out & not let enough Air flow at idle!!! The pic was right when I fired it up... SO Glad it wasnt the Opti
On a side note I can tell the Optima is about done at 6yrs old Guess a new Odyssey or Sears Diehard Platinum is in order!!!

Its been a few years lol I thought it was because of the baud rate or some tech term & the older windows 95 or 98 Laptops talk to the PCM at the correct rate & Newer Laptops are too fast... I did have TunerPro RT & got a virus from the Winzip file... Again Im goin off Memory & at 44 it aint what it used to be LoL
I did build the plug in BenchTop PCM tuning cable accy deal So I could mess with My Extra PCM...

I think you are referring to modern PCs not having a physical serial com port. You do have to be careful of using usb to serial com port adapters. Some don't work like physical serial com ports and can brick a PCM when programming.
I can't think of anything in the LT1 world that must have Windows 95/98.

TunerPro (free) and $eeHack. Done. Don't use files downloaded from any place other than those links. Scan9495 will show IAC counts and is a good logger if you'd rather use it over Stevo's $eeHack. Some cars don't talk well to $eeHack due to background tasks - mine is one of them. Have to pull a few fuses, but once that's done its a-ok. They all work just fine via a new laptop running Win10 using a Red Devil River OBD cable.
