Default crankshaft postion sensor.

ok, i have a 96 lt1 and the engine code, crank shaft position sensor is being thrown, i have replaced the sensor twice now, but the stupid light keeps comming on, any suggestions?

I have a Timing Cover off a 97 LT1 here with the Crankshaft Sensor in it I am askin $35 shipped for, if you think you need to get a diff sensor...Other than that I'm not sure...I'll dig around and see if I can come up with anything for you

I had the same problem with my 96, plus the sensor kept leaking oil. If it is really bothering you, switch to a obd1 computer. That's what I did, along with putting on the older timing cover and opti unit. No more oil leak, dtc, and two less o2 sensors.
