Default Been Gone Awhile... New Project 1997 WS6 H/C

Well its been a couple years since ive been out of the LT1 game and sold my 1994. Told myself i wouldnt buy another LT1 car again due to all the hiccups i had with previous car. A buddy of mine bought this 1997 ws6 6spd car with a blown motor and swapped the motor from his current 95 ta a4 to the ws6. He was going to t56 swap his 95 untill he found the ws6 in its current state. Swapped the motor in and got it on the road last summer. Towards the end of season being a typical lt1 it developed a misfire under load. He came across a c6 z06 and pulled the plug. Threw it up for sale and just a bunch of tire kickers wasting his time. He needed the car gone and gave me a price i couldnt refuse. Fingers crossed i can get it running nicely again without throwing an opti on it or may go with the torque head 24x setup. I had great results with the EFI 24x kit but now they have made the swap even easier to complete

The Car:

1997 WS6 M6 Black T-Tops
355 engine
le1 ported heads
le ported intake
cc306 cam
58mm
lt headers
4.10 gears

Damn that's a clean car, are you going to try new plugs/wires/opti or just jump straight to the 24x?

Few minor cosmetic fixes inside and out I need to swap out. I do part these cars out quite a bit (94ta parts car in the backround) so it's nice for a change to have free parts LOL. I haven't got a scanner or done any data logging yet to see the exact symptoms the car has yet. I really hope it's just burn wire, coil, icm, or o2s and not the opti. Having done the 24x and having coil on plug makes life so much less a headache as half the time the obd1 and obd2 lt1 pcms wouldn't even set a code for cylinder misfires.

As for mods I need a set of rear tires and some tubular reward suspension as that is all stock on the car.

Well after getting my hands on a scanner got two codes. Code 43 Knock Sensor Circuit failure and the all so beloved code 16 low resulition pulse! Going to check over the wiring to see if its in good shape before i throw an opti at it. How i missed working on LT1s
