I thought they quit selling the bare head. This is all I could find. http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/3129...inder-Head.htm

Looking in my book "Rebuilding the LT1/LT4 Engine" it shows 12363287 as the casting number. It is listed in the GM Casting Numbers section page 182. Below the heading it says "Note: In some cases casting number is also GM Part Number". In the GM Parts Numbers section on the same page just below that, it shows the same number 12363287 for the LT4 cylinder head.

The casting number is 12555690. The part number for the assembled head is 12363287.
1. A good place to look for casting numbers is
http://www.nhra.com/tech_specs/engine/
Note that the NHRA lists a second part number for the LT4 head (12555332) but I have never seen a head with this number on it.
2. The 2004 GM Performance Parts book lists the casting number as 12555690.
3. Just to make sure I went out to my trailer and pulled a valve cover and the casting number on the head is 12555690.
I hope that this clears up any confusion.
