Default cutting stock coil springs

I want to level my car out, I don't want to lower it in the front and i don't want to drop it alot in the rear, just enough for it to set level. How much of a coil should i cut off and would this make my ride quality worse? I shouldn't lose any spring rate if i take a cut off wheel and cut it off should I? What is everyones ideas on this?

Cars with lowering springs generally ride a little harsher because the spring rate is higher on lowering springs, replacing your shocks will help pretty drastically, cutting the springs will ride worse than actual lowering springs though. Ever see little hondas bouncing over every little bump in the road its mostly because they have cut springs. I wouldent do it, but thats just me, especially if your only gonna cut the back ones thats gonna probably screw things up in the long run.
