Default hypertech power programmer-lt1

is the hypertech power programmer worth the money.
i don't mind spending the 400 or so bucks for one.
i don't expect to add a bunch of hp or anything but i do expect at least a seat of the pants difference. all i have is a magnaflow catback and k&n fipk. would it be good for a tune even if it's just a
cai and catback car? by the way this is for a 95 z28 auto.
any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Get a Pcmforless tune, and fold up the rest of that money and look for more mods.

I'd get LT headers or a stall instead. You would see a bigger difference with either of those than with gears. Also, if you opt for headers, you'll see a little better gas mileage, a big plus now that gas prices have gotten out of hand. A stall or gears will get you a little worse mileage.

Like said above do not get a hpp3. 3.73s, longtubes or a stall are all good choices and will all make a big diff.

Take that money and put it towards a torque converter.

If you get a converter, don't forget you're gonna need some Drag Radials or slicks if you want to see any improvement with that stall.
