Default steam pipe question

Is it possible to replace the steam pipe with the intake on, or will i have to take the intake off to put a new pipe on?

It is possible to replace this pipe with the intake manifold on, just take out the bolts at the back of the heads and the one nut holding it o an intake stud on the passenger side.
This pipe is actually called "engine coolant air bleed pipe" and it gets out the steam and air out of the heads coolant passages to prevent hot spots. It's purpose is the same as the vent holes on a 400 sbc head.

Also, BE CAREFUL not to strip the bolt heads that hold the crossover tube on.
