It will sound good in the upper rpm's with a cutout, but it will sound like poopoo when down low IMO. Go for it and decide for yourself.

no thats not true because true duals is cheaper than a cat back exhaust and it is better than catbacks.... I dont see the point in spending the money on a catback and THEN getting a cutout.... unless your strictly doing the cat back for the sound? cutout is the best flowing exhaust.... the only problem with it is keeping back pressure you have to have a pretty high HP car to make the cutout work properly especially if you get a ridiculous 4" cutout but thats just my opinion i think it was a waste for you to get a cat back if your gonna go to a cutout.....

one more thing... putting a cutout after a cat is just about the most pointless thing you can do the whole point of a cutout is to bypass all the air restrictions (cats , mufflers , resonator , & the traveling tube distance)

I picked up 7hp and 9tq over stock exhaust with my cutout open. Area under the curve was better too with an avg of about 3 more hp. I also didn't lose any low end at all.

I have a stock exhaust right now except for my slowmaster muffler. I have a cutout basically right under the back passenger seat and I think it sounds GOOD- nice and healthy. In fact, everybody that I have been around has complimented the sound I don't see why anyone would think its sounds crappy- in my opinion. Down low rpms everything is about the same, but you can really tell a gain up top. Do whatever you want. Its $30 for a cutout- if you dont like the sound, put the cap back on, but I will be you right now that you will leave the cap off for good...
