Default is there a forumula for LT1s hitting 350 whp

Hey guys, I am new to the LT1s and before i start modding my car, I wanted to explore all the modifications there can be.

My Goal for the time being is to try and get 350 WHP or a mid 12 second car *yes i know about slicks and ill be getting a 3600 stall so besides those*

Curious what the other LT1 guys have done so i can plan out what i need to search for and buy.

crap i spelled formula wrong haha

Talk to Lloyd Elliot at www.eportworks.com. He can hook you up.

Beat me to it

I highly recommend Lloyd, his LE1 head/cam package would get you there with ease. If you wanted to go the boly on route you could probably get there with long tube headers, a good flowing exhaust, cold air intake, and a good mild cam such as a hot cam, CC305, or any other grind along the lines of a 22X/23X duration would probably get you there.

The LE1 kit will more then likely give you more then 350whp, but there's nothing wrong with that

spray and just pill it till you get what you want, I bet a stock LT1 would make that on a 125 shot

I've been doing this research myself. Using different sources online (especially www.ws6.com ) , I've been looking into a formula for reaching high hp on a budget.

I have a bit to start off with since the original owner of the engine I purchased made 305rwhp without a tune (he ran 12.67 untuned as well). But if you use sources like that and even the dyno sticky on this forum, you can get a rough idea of what you should do. PM me if you're curious on what's done to my engine and what I've estimated on doing... especially since I'm on a loose budget.

The search function on here can be your most useful tool too!

Yup bolt ons and a small dry shot and you'd make that ALL DAY.... Shiet I made 420RWHP and an assload of torque (like 585 RWTQ) on a dry NOS 150 shot with a stock throttle body and stock 1.5 rockers..... Bolt ons I had was flowmaster cat back, MAC shorties, CAI, MSD 6A box, Nology coil, and some suspension and chassis stuff like a better clutch and ****....

350RWHP could be done NA if you had all the bolt ons and a kickass tune.... it might take a cam but then again if you're gonna do that do heads/cam/manifold and a 52/58mm throttle body and shoot for 400-425 RWHP....

350rwhp aint going to happen NA on a stock motor, with a big cam maybe. 400-425rwhp NA with just heads and cam is going to suck to actually drive in most cases would take a very well matched combo and VERY good tuner to be truely drivable.
