Default How much of a difference do DR's actually make?

I had put Nitto 555r's on my rears a while ago, and was wondering how much of a difference between those and KDWS I'll see. I run a 13.490 right now, and I hope that the weight reduction, and the tires will bring me down to a 13.2x. Can I see about a .150+ gain with drag radials? At the track I would spin like crazy off the line in my A4. I have 2.0-2.1 60' times, I hope to get them down to a 1.8.

.2 in the 60ft. is worth much more than that at the other end of the track, like .3 easily.
What is your MPH that might help us guess an ET given better traction. For instance look in my sig 13.2 at just 101.3mph that was with frankly too tall ET Drags 28X10.50s with just 3.42s out back, far from ideal need more gear or a shorter tire and I should be able to drop the 1.8 down another .1

Take a look here at the b-body ET page, our chassis hooks up better than the average f-body, take a look for some cars that are similar to your mph and see what 60ft. and ET they run and it should get you an idea. http://dan.esteban.com/impalass/ReturnTopET.asp

MPH can be very consistent so it can be a much better indication of things than ET.

When it hooks you might lose a little MPH but will gain a lot in ET. If you can launch aggressively enough without wheelspin you might even tickle high 12s.

If you run a 13.490 with a 2.0 60' dropping to a 1.8 you should see a 13.0 - 13.1.

Install a higher stall torque converter and pump out some 1.6-1.7s!

Yeah, next mods are 3.73's and a 3200 stall.

Hopefully I can get a good run on a nice day, and hit low low 13's.

with those tires you should be able to hit a 13.0 I would think. 103.5 is not quite enough for 12s, but if you get some cool air and are able to trap around 104, I think 12.9xs are in your future.

Don't think you'll be able to get anything than low 1.9's with stock stall/gears.

I will have lost about 150-200 pounds off my car when I go to the track with my drag radials. The 13.490 was on a 90* day with regular tires, and FULL race weight *full tank*. Now when I race, it will be in IL, about 60*, with about 150-200 total pounds off, with drag radials. I hope to see some good numbers!

With my 285 street tires in my 383 6spd vette I can baby it to a 2.19 60' and run 8.19 at 93.

With my MT 275 ET Street Radials (bad **** tires) I can get 1.75 60' and run 7.60's.

383, AFR 190s, GM 847, Mcleod Street Twin, 4.10's, Borla

My best with my old stock motor on street tires was a 12.99, I went 12.34 on BFG DR's.

My Nittos are a 245 size running on about 17-18 PSI at the strip. With cool conditions, a prepped track, with the tires, and weight reduction, I hope I can get a best of a 13.0 or a 12.999.
