Surging @ Idle after installing NGK TR6 plugs
I've been trying to find the source of my idle problems for the past week. I put a nitrous plate kit on my 95 z28, changed the fuel rail and put in NGK TR6 plugs and ever since my car has idled like ****. It surges big time.
I finally fixed the idling problems by putting my AC Delco platinum plugs back in. Here's a picture of what my NGK's looked like when they came out. I only had about 50 miles on them. http://www.geocities.com/mystic95z28/NGKplug.JPG
Earlier today, I figured I'd try the NGK's again and lower the gap from .40 to .35. My crappy idle returned, it was surging just as bad as it did before I put the AC Delco's back in.
Any idea why a colder plug doesn't want to run well in my car?

na gap on lt1 is .50. I run a .35 just because i dont want any chance of it arcing before the plug. The only thing about that plug is that it is either the light or it looks lean. Try some autolite 104s they have the same temp rating as the tr6 and I had better luck with my autolite 103s(2 steps colder) then I did with the ngks. Also I would get the thing on a dyno or at least a wideband while its running to make sure your fuel system is working properly
