Default Engine surge

Almost every time my converter locks up my engine will start to surge. Has anyone had this happen to them or know what might be causing it?

ttt. It only does it under light acceleration. The surge will stop when I let off the gas or give it more. I have a vacuum modulated 4L60E.

I don't know any of that but I was thinking that it might be the tune. When I first put in my new transmission and converter it wouldnt shift at WOT so I got a mail order tune and it fixed that but it still has this surge.

I don't know stalls, or modified electric transmissions, but here's my two punch theory. 1) The motor isn't making enough vacuum under light throttle 2) light throttle isn't making enough power and the converter is slipping. Heck, could be a 1-2 combo!

Aaaaaannnndddd He's out for the count (Sorry, had to stick with the boxing metaphor lol)
