Don't do it. Remans are junk. It's a crapshoot whether you get one that lasts more than 1year.

From what I have seen many of them have a better track record than the "new" GM pumps. Think about it what are the chances GM is still making this pump either it is a grossly overpriced reman anyway or it has been sitting in a warehouse for the better part of a decade which would not be a good thing for the seals.

I have had great luck with the NAPA remanufactured and it is CHEAP.

Yeah I've seen better track records with remans then "new" stockers.

ive got a reman right now and i havent had any problem with it and it is definatly way cheaper, if you are running alot of mods then id recommend a aftermarket electric but otherwise a reman is the way to go

it's gong to leak either way. I have a new non OE pump on now for when the factory pump failed. It's starting to leak about about 3 years. figure 40 bucks for a reman with warranty, or about 150 for new.... Math is good. Get a re maned and just replace it once every few years for free with the warranty. No matter which way you go it's not going to last very long. Unless you go electric, it won't ever leak, but will still need replacement after a while.

Exactly. I think the next time mine needs replaced, I'm just going electric. Save up and buy a spare motor and keep it in the trunk for emergencies, so if one ever goes bad, it's quick to change

I have had a reman in my car for 4 yrs with no problems and when I get done rebuilding the engine I'll be taking the working pump back to Autozone to get another one. Gotta love lifetime warrantys.
